fomo stands for Fear of Missing Out . The “ fear to miss something ” is not just a crypto-specific phenomenon, but also describes an observed behavior of people and/or groups. Fomo is the opposite of Fud.

In terms of crypto area, FOMO describes the fear of giving this (one-off) chance of “quick” profits when the coin prices rising in a bull market. This FOMO means that participants push into the market immediately and without rational decision -making.
